This A5 watercolour piece is a heartfelt tribute to one of our tiniest yet most vulnerable native birds. I loved capturing the soft, delicate features of Sammy, perched with that signature long, wispy tail flowing elegantly behind.
 
Painting Sammy was my way of shining a light on their plight. I hope this piece inspires you to care and take action for their conservation!
 
It breaks my heart knowing these precious creatures are at serious risk of extinction, especially with their habitat on the Eyre Peninsula under threat from a rocket launching facility which our goverment has just approved.
